the 10:00am Mass. All men in the parish are expected to be in attendance. Please

Family FC will be playing against St. Joseph Catholic church Abule-Ado on
Saturday 17th August, 2019. Parishioners should come and cheer our
team to victory.
CWO: Catholic Women Organization general meeting will hold today 11th August, 2019 at the Courtyard after the 10:00am Mass. All women in the parish are expected to be in attendance.
INDUCTION: This is to inform every woman in the Parish about the upcoming CWO Induction which will be taking place soon. The Induction is for both registered new members and those who have not registered but will like to join the Organization. Please utilize this opportunity as CWO is the umbrella body, for all women. SACRED HEART: The Association of Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary is having a Novena for the Feast of Assumption beginning 6th of August to end on the 14th. Parishioners are invited to join us after the 6.30pm Mass in front of the Parish Office.
RED CROSS: There will be a meeting of the patrons of the Red Cross Society with the Parish Priest today 11th August, 2019 at the Omisesan Hall. Time: 1pm. Please endeavour to attend.

THE CATHOLIC YOUNG ADULTS ASSOCIATION: The Catholic Young Adults Association, Holy Family wished to invite all young adults in the church to her weekly devotion which holds every Wednesday by 7.30pm. Join us as we unite to Christ Jesus and His Church so as to provide a place of belonging and a real relationship with God through catechesis, fellowship, charity and sacraments of our Catholic faith. THE BOARD OF LECTORS: The Board of Lectors is calling on interested parishioners between 18 and 40 years old with good communication and public speaking skills who are willing to proclaim God’s Word to come join the board as we are currently recruiting new members. TOTAL CONSECRATION TO JESUS THROUGH MARY: The Confraternity of Mary, Queen of all Hearts is organizing a total consecration to Jesus through Mary. It has become extremely difficult in our present time to live a holy life that is why our Mother Mary (Our lady of Fatima) requested us to consecrate ourselves to Jesus through her Immaculate Heart as a way of renewing our vows of Baptism. Interested Parishioners are invited to register for these 33 days intensive spiritual classes that will help draw us into a more intimate relationship with God. The class commences on July 13th 2019 and end on the 14th August, 2019 immediately after the evening mass daily. Registration is free. This total consecration has helped shape the spiritual life of many modern Saints like Pope St. John Paul II, St. Mother Teresa, and Saint Josemaria Escriva of Opus Dei etc. All to Jesus through Mary our Mother.

CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN MOTHERS: The members of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers Holy Family Catholic Church Festac sincerely welcome interested mothers into the association. Membership is open to any woman who is wedded in the Church and is a communicant. The Association is a Pious Society that intercedes for the church, families and the world at large. We hold our general meetings every first Sunday of the month immediately after 10am Mass in front of the Parish Office. Our weekly devotions take place at Msgr. Omisesan Hall every Tuesday after the 6.30pm Mass. Registration forms are available in front of the Parish Bookshop. Mother of Sorrows, Queen of Peace. Pray for us.

The laity participates in the Kingly function of Christ because they have received from him the power to overcome Sin to themselves and in the world by self-denial and the holiness of their lives. They exercise various ministries at the service of the Community and they imbue temporal activities and the institutions of Society with moral values. Eph. 4:7; Phil 2:8-9; Ps 118:14:30.
