ANOINTING: Tomorrow Monday July 1st is the first Monday of the month. There shall be special prayers for the month and anointing at all masses.
PARISH RETREAT: There shall be a special Retreat for the 40th Anniversary on Wednesday 3rd July to Friday 5th July, 2019 at 5.30pm daily.
HARVEST COMMITTEE: The 2019 Harvest Planning Committee shall be inaugurated today at the 10:00am. Let us endeavour to participate actively.
FEAST OF ST. THOMAS: Wednesday July 3rd, 2019 is the feast of St. Thomas the Apostle. Let us endeavour to attend on that day in honour of this great saint.
PARISH FORUM: As part of the 40th Anniversary activities, there shall be a Parish Forum on Sunday June 30th, 2019. Time: 2:00pm. All parishioners are expected to be in attendance to make their suggestions and observations for the growth and progress of our parish. Attendance is compulsory for all PPC, PFC and PLC members.

SPONSORSHIP: We wish to encourage parishioners to

INFANT BAPTISM: There will be infant Baptism on 6th July, 2019 and the Compulsory Pre-Baptism Instruction Class for Parents and God-Parents holds on 30th June, 2019 by 4.00pm @ Msgr. Michael Omisesan Hall. Please note God-Parents are to come along with their Baptismal Cards and must be CONFIRMED.THANKSGIVING: It is good to give thanks to the Lord (Ps 92:1) We shall as a family parish, celebrate with all those who mark their birthdays at mass by singing a special song for them after their thanksgiving.
PARISH LITURGY: From the Month of May, let us kindly take note of the following blessings during the week.
- Mondays: Blessings for workers for the new week (all Masses)
- Tuesdays: Blessing of Sacramentals (6:30pm only)
- Thursdays: Blessings for Expectant Mothers and those seeking the fruit of the womb. (6:30pm only)
- Fridays: Blessing of workers and general intentions.
- Saturdays: Blessing for children (6:30am)
PARISH OFFICE: The Parish Office will now be open on Sundays from 8am to 1pm. Parishioners can take advantage of this opportunity on Sundays to book masses.
RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through his Body and Blood. Amen.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: The mass schedule for public holidays shall be 6.30am and 6.30pm only. No midday mass.
Dear Parishioners, kindly be informed that going forward, Adults would not be allowed into the tent during the 8am Children’s mass at the Event Center, as the tent is reserved for the children only. Parents please note also that Children would not be allowed to attend mass at the 8am Parish Centre as they expected to attend mass at the Event Centre. Thank you for usual co-operation.
THE ALTAR SERVERS ASSOCIATION: There would be a very important meeting of all Parents and Guardians of the Altar servers today Sunday 30th June, 2019 at the lower Hall (Cardinal Okogie Hall) immediately after the 8:00am Mass. Very important issues will be discussed. Please be punctual.
SUMMER
LESSON: The Holy Family Catholic Church Summer
Lesson is here again! Children learnt a lot at the end of last year’s summer
lesson with its highlight being the exhibition of products made by students.
This year’s summer package promises to be the best. The Highlight of this
year’s lesson are as follows: (i). Skill Acquisition (ii). Career &
Motivational talks (iii). Guidance and Counselling sessions (iv). Film Show
(v). Catechism of the Church (vi). Use of Library (vii). Normal Academic Work.
Interested Parishioners are to obtain forms for their children and wards at the
Parish and Laity Offices at the rate of N200 only. Classes will commence on 28th
July, 2019 for all Primary & Secondary Classes. All interested trained teachers
should drop their hand written application letters and CV at the Parish Office
or Laity office from Monday 24th June to July 4th, 2019.
CATHOLIC MEN ORGANIZATION: The 2019 ADC Convention will be held at St.
Gregory’s College Obalende. Date 26th
– 28th July. The highpoint of the convention is the induction of
real and authentic men by the
Archbishop of the Lagos Metropolitan See, His Grace, Rev. (Dr) Alfred Adewale
Martins. Fee: Inducted Members – N3, 300; those to be newly inducted N5,

PARISH UNIFORM: This
is to remind Parishioners that our Parish uniform is still available for Sale,
on Sundays at the 40th Anniversary Desk opposite the Bookshop (parish Centre);
Souvenir Stand (Event Centre); and in the Bookshop on week days. The Uniform,
which is of the finest cotton quality, is going for only N6, 000 per piece of SIX
YARDS.
CHARITY/LOVE BOWL: We wish to remind our parishioners and children to return their Lenten charity/ love bowls. Let us endeavor to be committed. Remember whatever you do to the least of my brethren that you do unto me (Matt.25:40).
PARISH LIBRARY: The Anthony Cardinal Okogie Library is open for usage to all parishioners and Non-Parishioners who intent to study for various examinations or read for information purpose.
