- Send a goodwill message to the awardees and advertise your products and services @ affordable rates in the anniversary brochure. Deadline for submission of material is 25th June. Rates are published in the bulletin.

SOLEMNITIES: This week, the Solemnities of the Birth of John the Baptist and the Sacred Heart of Jesus shall be celebrated on Monday the 24th of June and Friday the 28th of June respectively. Parishioners are encouraged to attend mass on these days.
CORPUS CHRISTI: Today is the Solemnity of Corpus et Sanguinis Christi (Body and Blood of Christ). Let us all endeavour to reflect on this most precious gift.
RETURN TO THE SACRAMENTS: We wish to encourage those who have been estranged from the sacraments for one reason or the other especially the Holy Eucharist, to return to the Sacraments. Kindly meet any of the priests if you are having any difficulty in this regard. May Christ grant us life through his Body and Blood. Amen.
LITURGICAL ASSEMBLY: There shall be a Liturgical Assembly of all liturgical functionaries today Sunday, 23rd of June, 2019 after the 10am Mass. It is compulsory for all Liturgical functionaries to attend.
LITURGICAL FEASTS: Dear Parishioners, let us kindly take note of the following Solemnities during this very unique week!
- Monday 24th June, 2019: Solemnity of the Birthday of St. John the Baptist, the forerunner of Jesus Christ.
- Friday 28th June: Solemnity of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, the symbol of the love of Christ for humanity.
- Saturday 29th June: Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, the great apostles.
All these are important celebrations and all Catholics are encouraged to attend mass. Masses hold at the usual times.
PARISH FORUM: As part of the 40th Anniversary activities, there shall be a Parish Forum on Sunday June 30th, 2019. Time: 2:00pm. All parishioners are expected to be in attendance to make their suggestions and observations for the growth and progress of our parish. Attendance is compulsory for all PPC, PFC and PLC members.
PARISH LITURGY: From the Month of May, let us kindly take note of the following blessings during the week.
- Mondays: Blessings for workers for the new week (all Masses)
- Tuesdays: Blessing of Sacramentals (6:30pm only)
- Thursdays: Blessings for Expectant Mothers and those seeking the fruit of the womb. (6:30pm only)
- Fridays: Blessing of workers and general intentions.
- Saturdays: Blessing for children (6:30am)
Dear Parishioners, kindly be informed that going forward, Adults would not be allowed into the tent during the 8am Children’s mass at the Event Center, as the tent is reserved for the children only. Parents please note also that Children would not be allowed to attend mass at the 8am Parish Centre as they expected to attend mass at the Event Centre. Thank you for usual co-operation.
THE ALTAR SERVERS ASSOCIATION: There would be a very important meeting of all Parents and Guardians of the Altar servers on Sunday 30th June, 2019 at the lower Hall (Cardinal Okogie Hall) immediately after the 8:00am Mass. Very important issues will be discussed. Please be punctual.
INFANT BAPTISM: There will be infant Baptism on 6th July, 2019 and the Compulsory Pre-Baptism Instruction Class for Parents and God-Parents holds on 30th June, 2019 by 4.00pm @ Msgr. Michael Omisesan Hall. Please note God-Parents are to come along with their Baptismal Cards and must be CONFIRMED.
THANKSGIVING: It is good to give thanks to the Lord (Ps 92:1) We shall as a family parish, celebrate with all those who mark their birthdays at mass by singing a special song for them after their thanksgiving.
PUBLIC HOLIDAYS: The mass schedule for public holidays shall be 6.30am and 6.30pm only. No midday mass.
SMALL CHRISTIAN COMMUNITY for Wednesday, 26th June, 2019 is scheduled to be celebrated at St. Denis community – area enclosed by part of 5th avenue, part of 22 Road up to ‘F’ close. Mass Centre: House 17, ‘D’ close, 207 road, Festac Town. Mass Time: 6.30pm. Community Leader: MRS. MARY AGBIBOA. Other communities meet at 6pm. Scriptural Reading: 1 Cor. 13:1-7 (Nothing Endures Without Love).
CATHOLIC MEN ORGANIZATION: The 2019 ADC Convention will be held at St. Gregory’s College Obalende.

PARISH UNIFORM: This is to remind Parishioners that our
Parish uniform is still available for Sale, on Sundays at the 40th Anniversary
Desk opposite the Bookshop (parish Centre); Souvenir Stand (Event Centre); and
in the Bookshop on week days. The Uniform, which is of the finest cotton
quality, is going for only N6, 000 per piece of SIX YARDS.
CHARITY/LOVE BOWL: We wish to remind our parishioners and children to return their Lenten charity/ love bowls. Let us endeavor to be committed. Remember whatever you do to the least of my brethren that you do unto me (Matt.25:40).
PARISH LIBRARY: The Anthony Cardinal Okogie Library is open for usage to all parishioners and Non-Parishioners who intent to study for various examinations or read for information purpose.
