INTRODUCTION:
We hear how John the Baptist had been arrested and put in prison by King Herod and how John had learned about Jesus’ preaching and miracles throughout the land. John sends his friends to ask Jesus if He is the “Promised One”. Jesus said to them: “Tell John what you have seen and heard; the blind see, the lame walk, the sick are cured, the deaf can hear and the dead are raised to life. The goodnews of God’s Kingdom us being proclaimed to the poor; and blessed are they who hear the word and keep it.
PRAYER:
Thank you Lord for John the Baptist who told people about Jesus. Be close to me and guide me as I Joyfully long for your coming. Amen.
