CONFRATERNITY OF CHRISTIAN MOTHERS: The members of the Confraternity of Christian Mothers Holy Family Catholic Church Festac sincerely welcome interested mothers into the association. Membership is open to any woman who is wedded in the Church and is a communicant. The Association is a Pious Society that intercedes for the church, families and the world at large. We hold our general meetings every first Sunday of the month immediately after 10am Mass in front of the Parish Office. Our weekly devotions take place at Msgr. Omisesan Hall every Tuesday after the 6.30pm Mass. Registration forms are available in front of the Parish Bookshop. Mother of Sorrows, Queen of Peace. Pray for us.

All announcements from societies should be sent to the parish office for the bulletin by Tuesday before 3:00pm.

• YOUTH FELLOWSHIP: Fellowship with us every Friday at the event center. The fellowship begins with the Holy Mass at 6:30pm and is for all youths in the parish.

• ISLAND HANGOUT: Come October 1st, 2019. CYON would be organizing a very special event for all youth in the parish. Venue is at the LEKKI CONSERVATIVE CENTRE Fee for this is N1500 as it covers feeding and transportation. you can make payments at the Parish Office or the Parish Library. For more enquires…

• CYON GENERAL MEETING: The CYON Monthly general meeting holds every second Sunday of the month at the parish court yard immediately after the 8:00am mass. New members are highly welcome.

• The CYON Holy Family Pop corn: Our tasteful popcorn is now available and  on sales. Please do well to patronize us every Sunday at the Holy Family event centre.

In what sense is the Blessed Virgin Mary the Mother of the Church?
The Blessed Virgin Mary is the Mother of the Church in the order of grace because she gave birth to Jesus, the Son of God, the Head of the body which is the Church. When he was dying on the Cross Jesus gave his mother to his disciple with the words, “Behold your mother”. John 19:26-27.
